Quieting your mind can be a real challenge. Living in a world of multi-tasking, deadlines, and a fast paced lifestyle can leave your head spinning. Purposefully cultivating the attitudes of non-judgment, patience, beginner’s mind, non-striving, acceptance and letting go will greatly support and deepen you practice of the mindful mediation techniques you will be encountering in this particular modality.
In addition to these attitudes, you will also need to bring a particular kind of energy or motivation to your practice. A strong commitment to working on yourself and enough self-discipline to persevere in the process are essential to developing a strong mindfulness meditation practice. However, you will see the results of a strong mindfulness practice through the use of breathing exercises, sitting with sound, sitting with thoughts and feelings, and sitting with self awareness.
Mindful Based Stress Reduction will be taught one on one, or a designated group such as employees of a corporation.
