In my eyes, yoga is the art of waking up. Getting back to the true you. It can be that simple. Yoga offers up a away for us to see a world that is for you instead of against you. Yoga reminds me that everything is connected so we must live, act, dance, and breathe with awareness. If the journey really is the reward, then I choose to enjoy the journey.
Brad teaches Hatha, Restorative Yoga (with a guided relaxation component include theta brain wave sound therapy) as well as Gentle Somatic Yoga. Gentle Somatic Yoga is a unique brain to muscle re-education that combines traditional yoga postures, somatic experiencing, breathing techniques and visualization to expand your awareness of self.
Hatha Yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (known as asanas, or postures) and sequences of asanas , designed to align your skin, muscles, and bones. The postures are designed to open many channels of the body- especially the main channel, the spine – so that energy can flow freely. Hatha yoga is powerful tool for self-transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment.
Starting mid October 2017 Brad will be offering a dedicated Hatha class to men called Yoga for Stiff Men. This unique introductory class is designed for the man with limited flexibility, and possibly strength who wants and needs a gentle exercise program that is light hearted and friendly. As part of the deal, stick around for a mindful beer or non-alcohol tasting after every class included in the price of the class!
Also on the schedule starting in October is a healing yoga class called Spirit Wind Yoga. This gentle Somatic Yoga class is designed for people experiencing physical and/or mental trauma is their life because of illness, loss of a loved one, or people that feel as if they have lost their Mojo and want to help get it back with a highly inspirational, spiritually charged yoga class.
