The Pervasiveness of Stress

Chances are you know what it is like to feel stressed. Stress is all too common in modern society. But too much stress can wreak havoc on your mind and body.

Your body’s stress response system is usually self-limiting. Once a perceived threat has passed, hormone levels return to normal. As adrenaline and cortisol levels drop, your heart rate and blood pressure return to baseline levels, and other systems resume their regular activities.

But when stressors are always present and you constantly feel under attack, that fight-or-fight reaction stays turned on. Long-term activation of your stress response system and subsequent overexposure to cortisol and other stress hormones this causes – can disrupt almost all your body’s processes. This puts you at increased risk of numerous health problems, including:
-Digestive problems
-Heart disease
-Concentration issues
-Sleep problems
-Weight gain

The good news is that Breathe with Brad has developed a systematic program to reduce the effects of stress and anxiety on your body using a multitude of neuro-sensory exercises and movement modalities.
However, what I realized through my own anxiety experience is that there is no “do X, Y, and Z” to achieve desired result.

I believe it’s because ultimately the SHIFT has to happen within YOU. Yes, we have the tools, the guidance, the support, but let me assure you that the strength you need , you already have. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix to anxiety. No guarantees or perfect results. It will take some work on your part to get through the process. But, trust me, it will be worth the effort.
